• RON Bambra has joined Manheim Auctions as a non-executive director. Bambra spent 16 years with Kwik-Fit, latterly as group managing director for its fleet division across Europe. He now reports to chief executive, John Bailey. Bambra's new role includes furthering Manheim's relationships within all areas of the motor industry.
  • ALLIANCE & Leicester Commercial Bank has appointed Bryce Glover as director of lending. This new role encompasses asset finance, structured finance, commercial and other types of lending. Glover began his career with NatWest and spent the last 13 years at the Co-operative Bank as director of corporate and business banking.

  • WALON, the vehicle logistics supplier, has appointed two new business development managers. Kerry Lambert joins after 15 years with the AA, progressing from insurance sales into branch management. She later moved to the AA's business-to-business sector. Andrew Hooper joins Walon with 19 years' experience in the motor trade, including roles from vehicle technician and sales executive through to general sales manager of a dealer group in the south west of England. Lambert and Hooper are tasked with promoting Walon's range of technical and transport services to manufacturers, dealerships, fleet and leasing customers.

  • JOHN Pettitt has been appointed airside solutions director with Lex Transfleet. Pettitt brings more than 20 years' experience in leasing, rental, workshop management and maintenance to his new role within Lex. He was previously with Lex Harvey as fleet asset director and before that he was ServiceCare director at Lex Transfleet. In this latest role with the company, he takes responsibility for service to clients, with emphasis on fleet optimisation, asset management and wholelife costs.

  • FAYE Brennan becomes Thrifty Bellhire's 100th employee as she takes on the role as assistant to fleet director Andy Bell. In other moves, Dave Smith, the company's first employee in 1995, is promoted to manage the new Kingston branch, Jo Beckenham becomes group training and special projects manager and Chris Durrant is promoted to area manager for local accounts from his previous role as rental manager. Finally, Vickie Brown becomes manager of the Slough office.

  • JOHN Taylor has been appointed head of corporate sales and outsourcing with Lex Vehicle Leasing. This gives Taylor responsibility for 45,000 of Lex's 99,700-vehicle fleet, and brings together the company's corporate sales, outsourcing, public sector and defence departments.
