RETIRED BCA chief executive Tom Gibson is taking up an ambassadorial role with the company, as well as remaining a director of parent company BCA Holdings.
He began his career in the motor industry working in a car dealership in the west of Scotland. At the age of 22, he moved to the rental division of Godfrey Davis and in 1963, aged just 23, moved back to dealerships as a director and general manager when Godfrey Davis acquired a site near Glasgow. Between 1966 and 1984, he enjoyed several managing director positions with Godfrey Davis divisions before taking on the MD role at BCA.
