CAR supermarket Motorpoint is on track to achieve sales of 30,000 cars this year, the company says.

It has three sites in Derby, Burnley and Glasgow and has recorded sales of more than 15,000 vehicles in the first six months of its financial year. If 30,000 sales are achieved by the end of the year, it would represent an increase of 7% on its 2002 figures and a record since the company first launched in 1998.
