North East Derbyshire Council has taken delivery of more than 100 Citroens in a deal worth about £2 million at showroom prices.
The fleet of Berlingo, Xsara Enterprise, Dispatch and Relays will replace the council's current fleet of Fords and Vauxhalls and will run on a five-year contract hire agreement with TransLinc.
Steve Brunt, responsible for the council's outside services, said: 'Citroen has the product range best suited to efficiently match our widely varying operational requirements and offer the necessary long-term cost savings we demanded.'
The vehicles are expected to cover between 10,000 and 15,000 miles a year.
