• STEPH Beaumont has joined Lex Auto Logistics as a new consultant. Beaumont brings a range of experience from companies such as White Arrow Express, GUS and Reality in Wigan. Most recently she was inbound customer service manager at Hagemeyer.

  • ALL Ways Forward (AWF), the event management and logistics company, has appointed Wayne Humphreys to take on the role of finance director. He began his career at Price Waterhouse and has more than 20 years' experience in the financial sector including, most recently, as finance director for Formula One.

  • JOHN Westwood takes over from Gunduz Akin as European sales and marketing director with Lassa, the pan-European tyre company. Westwood brings more than 30 years' experience with Goodyear. He joined as a trainee in Craigavon in 1970 and progressed to his most recent role as sales director following Goodyear's joint venture with Dunlop.

  • COUNTRYWIDE Vehicle Management, part of the Leasedrive Group, has appointed two new regional sales managers. The planned expansion sees Neil Pagnam and Craig Best take responsibility for the north and Midlands areas respectively. Pagnam was previously with Dent Wizard as regional manager and, before that, spent four years as business development manager with the Threeways Garage group. Best was most recently development manager with PC networking company, faIT UK. He has also been sales manager for Cartrux Rentals, part of Northgate plc and with Mercedes-Benz specialist, the Stillman Group. Both Pagnam and Best report to sales manager, Joe Howick.

  • PD Ports, Logistics and Shipping has announced the appointment of a new managing director for its truck and van division, H&L Garages. Brett Whittingham takes the reins on September 4 and joins PD after some years with Ford, Iveco and Volvo dealerships. The present joint managing directors, Roy Reed and Trevor Simmons, will oversee the handover before pursuing personal new challenges.

  • OLIVER Hitrof, has been appointed business manager with Mercedes-Benz of Harrogate. Hitrof brings eight years' experience in motor retailing. For the past two years he ran an off-shore investment brokerage in the south of France before moving to Harrogate.

  • Q8 OILS has recently enrolled St John Meyers to its sales and marketing team. Myers, previously with Rix Petroleum, will control the full marketing mix including sponsorship where Q8 continue its involvement with a range of motor sports.
