SSANGYONG is returning to the UK with the launch of its all-new Rexton off-roader (pictured). Imported by SYUK, the model comes with a choice of two engines: a 2.9-litre turbodiesel or a 3.2-litre petrol.

The diesel offers 118bhp at 4,000rpm, with torque of 184lb-ft at 2,400rpm and there is a choice of a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox.

Top speed is 98mph, with economy and CO2 emissions ranging from 30.4mpg and 244g/km for the manual to 302g/km and 25mpg for the automatic. The 3.2-litre petrol model produces 217bhp at 6,000rpm and 231lb-ft at 3,000rpm. Top speed is 114mph and combined economy is 18.8mpg, producing CO2 emissions of 351g/km.

Driver and passenger airbags are standard across the range, with side airbags standard on higher specification models.

All models comes with a three year/60,000 mile warranty, three-year unlimited mileage paint finish warranty and six-year anti-corrosion warranty. Service intervals are every 12 months or 10,000 miles for petrols and every six months or 6,000 miles for diesels. Prices start at £18,000 on-the-road.
