The latest appointments in the fleet industry. ING Car Lease has expanded its commercial team with the appointment of Ryan Geere as business development manager. He will be responsible for the south west M4 corridor business area. Geere has more than 10 years' industry experience gained both nationally and internationally. Prior to ING Car Lease, Geere worked at truck manufacturer Scania GB where he was based at Scantruck in Essex.
MARK Lavery has been appointed as operations director at dealer group Reg Vardy. He will be responsible for three operating regions, the East Midlands, West Midlands and the south of England. He will be in charge of three regional directors reporting directly to him. Lavery was formerly group operations director at Hartwell plc, a UK multi-franchise retailer based in Oxford.
ReMIT, the training arm of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) has appointed Lee Acton as operations director.
He has more than 10 years' industry experience working in a variety of senior roles for training providers. Acton's previous role was sales development director for Protocol Skills where he worked for five years. There he held several roles including operations director for London, the South East and Scotland. JAMIE Scott has joined Vehicle Remarketing Solutions as Skoda support manager. He joins from Inchcape Automotive where he was pre-delivery inspection (PDI) administrator. He will be responsible for re-marketing Skodas, managing vehicle inspections and refurbishment in his new role. Vehicle Remarketing Solutions has also promoted Chris Stevens to operations director. Previously operations manager, he will develop operational processes and systems in his new role.
THE Institute of Advanced Motorists has appointed Mark Edwards as programme manager. He will be responsible for developing driver training and safety programmes and brings more than 20 years' driver training, course design and risk management experience.
THE Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) has appointed Mike Owen as its new head of after- market and used vehicle sales for the independent garage sector. He will report to Ray Holloway, director of the RMI's independent garage and fuel division.
Owen has 35 years' experience working in dealerships, consultancy and training across the UK, Europe, Asia and North America. CLOSE Motor Finance, which supplies financial packages to the motor industry, has appointed Karen Woolgar to manage its new Southampton-based office. The new branch is Close's fourteenth office and forms part of Close's expansion strategy.
Woolgar has 13 years' experience including roles at Wagon, First National Motor Finance and Carlyle.
