CITROEN'S latest addition to the C3 range, the XTR, is now on sale with a choice of petrol or diesel engines.

With a large black grille, black bumpers, wheel arch extensions and side skirts, the C3 XTR has a more robust appearance than the standard C3, with the added practicality of roof rails.

It also comes with 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps and a panoramic electric sunroof, as well as folding trays on the back of the front seats and a secondary rear-view mirror to ensure the driver can see any children sitting in the rear. Standard equipment also includes electric door mirrors, electric front windows, a CD player, ABS, four airbags and remote central locking.

Two engines are available: a 90bhp 16-valve 1.4-litre petrol engine using with a SensoDrive automated manual transmission with paddle shift, priced at £11,795 OTR and a 92bhp 16-valve 1.4 HDi, priced at £12,595 on the road, and offering 66mpg on the combined cycle.
