New eco models are set to help Skoda achieve even greater success in the fleet market.
“Just how well our sales end up for the year depends on factory supply, but it’s already clear that 2010 is going to be a record for our business with up to 42,000 registrations.
“We are also on course for another record – we will win a two per cent share of the UK market,” said Skoda brand director Robert Hazelwood.
Speaking at the Paris Motor Show as the Volkswagen group’s Czech subsidiary unveiled high economy Greenline versions of each model in its range, he told Fleet News: “Our progress is in line with our long term plans for the market and the fleet sector is crucially important to the developments that have just been agreed with the factory to take us through to 2015 and beyond.
“The Superb range is attracting more user-choosers to the brand and we’re confident of improving on our 1.7 per cent fleet share. Fleet will always be a major part of our plans, and the sub-100 g/km, 109 g/km and 119g/km performances of our Greenline Fabia, Octavia and Superb models give us a comprehensive strategy for future expansion.”
