A new name in fleet management was announced this week with the official launch of Interactive Fleet Management.

Backed by the Grosvenor Group of Companies, which also owns Grosvenor Contracts, Interactive Fleet Management is headed up by Stuart Menzies, commercial director and Jayne Pett, operations director.

“In recent years we’ve seen a growing demand for the type of professional fleet management that encompasses vehicle management, driver management and supplier management,” said Stuart Menzies.

“This has partly emerged due to economic conditions and the pressure this has placed on funding and cost control, but also as a result of other areas such as the growing grey fleet market, ever-stringent duty of care obligations, green issues, rising fuel prices and a need for greater fleet flexibility which all combine to make fleet management a far bigger challenge for businesses than ever before.

“If you tie that in with an increasing pressure on organisations in both private and public sectors to reduce their costs and improve the service and support they receive, it has created a shift in the needs of fleet operators.

“We see this trend continuing to grow, increasing the demand for the form of impartial, professional fleet support that Interactive Fleet Management offers – ranging from the provision of isolated fleet management services, through to complete outsourcing whereby we manage every aspect of fleet operations including relationships with contract hire providers.”

Jayne Pett added, “At Interactive Fleet Management we have a senior team with thirty years fleet management expertise, twenty five operational support staff and a highly intuitive web-based fleet control system.

“We’ve also introduced some extremely exciting mechanisms for working with clients including leading edge web-meeting software and our own unique business model for success.”
