Kwik-Fit Fleet is to extend a free fleet vehicle servicing and MOT collection and delivery service following a successful pilot.
The service, which is being provided in partnership with Autoclenz, is to be rolled out to a third of the Kwik-Fit centre network - about 220 locations - in May with a view to the initiative being available nationally.
The added value company car and van collection and delivery service has been launched to meet demand from Kwik-Fit’s end-user fleets and contract hire and leasing company customers.
When operating nationally by the end of the year it is expected that most company car and van drivers will request the service with its availability also resulting in more fleets using Kwik-Fit centres for vehicle servicing and MOT work.
Gary Ralph, the company’s UK business development manager for fleet service, maintenance and repair, said: “Increasingly company car and van drivers do not have the time to take their vehicle to a Kwik-Fit centre and then wait while the service and/or MoT is carried out.”
Mr Ralph said: “Autoclenz’s collection and delivery team operate within a strict at-work driving code of practice and carry out a comprehensive bodywork inspection of the vehicle both prior to driving it and on its return to the customer.”
Head of Kwik-Fit fleet Mike Wise said: “Demand for fleet vehicle servicing and MoTs through our centres is at record levels and increasing daily. In the first quarter of 2010 demand for fleet servicing increased 61.7% on the first three months of 2009 and the number of MoTs undertaken on fleet cars and vans increased 56.2% over the same period.
“Customers have requested that we offer a collection and delivery service and, as a result, we anticipate that demand for fleet vehicle servicing and MoTs through our centres will continue to rise.”

So thats not "free" servicing then, just a free C&D as you would expect.
