Peugeot has launched a pilot vehicle rental scheme that could eventually give fleets access to bikes, scooters, cars and vans through its dealers.

The rental project called ‘Mu’ has been launched at two wholly-owned Peugeot dealers, one in London and one in Bristol.

Fleets have already expressed an interest in using it as a way of giving their drivers access to short-term rental vehicles.

“We’ve had a number of corporate customers ask the question and that is something we will look at in the future,” said Peugeot managing director Jon Goodman.

“The way we’re starting out with the pilot is that it will be a retail proposition.”

Customers sign-up to the scheme via the Mu website www.mu.peugeot.co.uk and purchase rental credits, which they use to book from a fleet of Peugeot bikes, scooters, cars and vans at the two sites.

For example, a 207 costs £25 for half-a-day, while a Boxer costs £35.
