Northern Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has purchased 12 Škoda Octavia Scouts and six Škoda Yetis for its community service visits.
The team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses and midwives has added the vehicles to its fleet to assist them when visiting patients in the community.
Jug Johal, head of transport and security for Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS, said: “We deliver a service that aims to keep patients out of hospital when they don’t need to be there, so our vehicles need to be reliable and able to carry specialist equipment.
“I was particularly impressed with both the Octavia Scout and the Yeti vehicles - they are both fit for purpose and excellent value for money.
“Two winters ago we experienced some really bad weather, so it is crucial that our staff are driving safe and reliable cars during the colder months. With Škoda, we know our specialists will be able to continue their community visits come rain or shine.”
Martin Burke, head of fleet sales for Škoda UK, said: “It’s great to hear such positive feedback from the team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS – our cars are ideal for community services as they’re solid, safe and extremely reliable.”
