Copart, which sells vehicles for finance companies, banks, dealers, fleets, rental car companies and the insurance industry, has appointed Kevin Allton as its new head of UK marketing.
With over 20 years’ experience in international marketing and sales, Allton has worked for some of the most successful companies in the sports, retail, entertainment and travel sectors, including the England & Wales Cricket Board, Fulham Football Club, Homebase, Luminar Leisure, World Wrestling Entertainment, The International Youth Hostel Federation and Barclays Bank.
At the England & Wales Cricket Board he helped develop and establish Twenty20 Cricket as a major global sport.
Prior to joining Copart, he worked as interim head of marketing at Euro Car Parts, one of the UK’s largest suppliers of car parts, tools and accessories.
At Copart, Allton will be responsible for its UK marketing strategy, increasing brand awareness and the continued development of its membership base and proposition.
Nigel Paget, managing director of Copart, said “Kevin has had a very wide and varied marketing career to date with major successes across several industries and experience that will benefit Copart hugely.
“His key contribution to our future success is to see us recruit significantly more members who bid and buy vehicles”.
Allton said: “I am delighted to be joining Copart at a very exciting time in their development.
“We have many new products and services planned for the near future, which will make it easier for our growing membership base to find and buy online the vehicles they need.”
