Skoda UK has appointed Mike Embleton as service and parts programme manager.
He joins Skoda with 19 years of experience within the Volkswagen Group. In his most recent role as group paint and body business manager, he was responsible for a rise in customer satisfaction scores for the repair and bodyshop services from 80 to 96 per cent between 2011 and 2013.
Beginning his career as a car retailer sales advisor, Embleton has a robust knowledge of all sectors of the automotive industry. During his time with the Volkswagen Group, he has worked across the business, undertaking key roles in fleet sales, product marketing, aftersales, planning and training.
He said: “Driving customer retention is key to the brand. We’ll do that by continuing to develop hassle-free access for customers and paying careful attention to what our customers want, so that we can develop our aftersales offering to best meet those needs."
The appointment follows the recent promotion of Owen Shepherd to head of service and parts operations for Skoda UK.
Shepherd said: “One of the many reasons that UK motorists love Skoda is the second-to-none customer service we offer across our retailer network - all part of our well-established customer promise. As a critical part of our strengthened service and parts operations team, I know Mike will be a real asset to the brand in continuing to develop and deliver our aftersales programmes to the benefit of all our customers.”
