Following the success of the first 1,000 vehicle sale, which took place in 2012, BMW has once again turned to Manheim to deliver another special event.
On Saturday (February 8) at 10am, Manheim’s Colchester auction centre is again being taken over by BMW, with the company holding a 1,000 vehicle sale.
This special event will include a range of financial service and multi-make stock models to fit a variety of budgets.
Three stand-out vehicles that will go under the hammer on the day are an 08 plate Aston Martin Vantage, 4.7L, 2 door Roadster, with 16,995 mileage; a 12/62 plate MINI Roadster with 6,139 mileage and a 10 plate BMW 6 series, 3L, 2 door convertible, with a mileage of 61,670.
Manheim’s Colchester site is Europe’s only four lane car auction centre and provides an exclusive opportunity for buyers to view and bid on a wide range of vehicles.
The listing for the Saturday extravaganza will run across all four lanes, with a lane for MINI’s, an open lane, a multi-make lane and a lane for an exclusive selection, which is to be made up of older profile stock similar to the regular Colchester sales programme.
For those who are unable to attend the weekend sale in person, the 1,000-plus vehicles will also be available through Manheim’s online bidding platform, Simulcast, which continues to rise in popularity amongst buyers.
Tony Wilson, general manger used cars and internal sales at BMW, said: “Our previous 1,000 car sale proved incredibly successful, with a huge number of buyers attending the auction hall and online.
“The combination of a diverse range of high quality vehicles, the unique four-lane set up offered by Colchester, the weekend sale format, along with the spot prizes and delivery discounts that will be available on the day are sure to make this year’s sale the best yet.”
Richard Cross at Manheim, added: “We were delighted at the success of the first 1,000-plus vehicle sale for BMW and we are looking to build on that success with this year’s sales programme.
“This is a significant deal that will deliver a substantial range of stock for the buyers at Manheim. BMW is obviously a well-respected and popular brand and we expect to see a strong mix of buyers attending the sales, both in-person and online.”
