BMW has introduced the Gran Tourer edition of its 2 Series MPV model, offering seven seats.
The car features a sliding second row of seats with adjustable backrest, a third row of seats that fold into the floor, and provision for up to five universal child seats.
A range of three and four-cylinder engines are available, and an xDrive four wheel drive option will also go on sale.
The Gran Tourer is 214mm longer and 53mm higher than the standard BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, with a longer wheelbase.
The third row of seats is a standard fit in the UK market, but can be lowered into the boot floor when not in use.
The BMW 216d Gran Tourer model, powered by a 1.5-litre three cyclinder diesel, will offer a combined fuel consumption of 68.9mpg and low CO2 emissions of 108g/km.
In addition to the standard SE version, the new BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer is available in three other model variants - Sport, Luxury and M Sport.
