The finalists for the 2024 Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards have been announced.

The awards, now in their 17th year and supported by Fleet News, celebrate women’s vital contribution to transport and logistics across all sectors – from freight to retail to automotive, maritime and air transport.

This year’s finalists demonstrate the progression, accomplishments and increasing avenues of opportunity.

Despite industry progress, only 23% of the industry’s 1.5m employees identify as women and more than half are in non-transport roles, according to Everywoman.

Maxine Benson MBE, co-founder of Everywoman, said: “Attracting, retaining, and advancing women has the power to fuel progress, unlock innovation and drive growth, not just for organisations but for the UK economy.

“Everywoman continues to play a significant part in recognising exceptional women whose innovation, skills, resilience, and leadership will inspire future generations of women to fulfil their career ambitions in vibrant and dynamic industries.

The awards will recognise two winners per category: one successful industry ‘Leader’ and one individual at any stage in their career who is going ‘Above and Beyond’ for their business.

There are also awards for Tech Innovator, International Inspiration, Industry Champion, Male Agent of Change, Apprentice of the Year, Woman of the Year and Sustainability Champion.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and luncheon on June 27, 2024, at the Plaza London Riverbank.

The UK's premier fleet test driving event - brought to you by Fleet News - took place on June 12 & 13.

The event at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, allowed hundreds of fleet decision-makers and leasing company stakeholders the chance to utilise more than 30 miles of roads and tracks with varied surfaces and technical features.
