BMW has updated the iX electric SUV for 2025 with fresh look and revised powertrains.
The purpose-built electric model now has a range of up to 426 miles.
Pricing starts at £74,400 for the three-model line-up.
The entry-level iX is now known as the xDrive45. It uses a 94.8kWh battery and has a range (WLTP) of up to 374 miles. The twin motor powertrain develops 408PS and 700Nm, giving a 0-62mph acceleration time of 5.1 seconds.
The iX xDrive60 is fitted with a 109.1kWh battery, enabling a range of up to 426 miles. It also serves up more power, with 544PS and 765Nm. As a result, 62mph comes up from rest in 4.6 seconds.
At the top of the range, the new iX M70 xDrive combines a 108.9kWh battery with two motors for 659PS and 1,015Nm. This version can acclerate from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and has a maximum range of 366 miles.
Both larger batteries have a peak charging rate of 195kW, while the smaller unit can rapid charge at up to 175kW.
The iX has received a light visual facelift, with new headlights and a refreshed bumper design. The grille now features BMW's iconic glow lighting function.
BMW has also tweaked the iX's suspension settings in order to handle its enhanced power outputs.
Standard equipment includes Adaptive LED headlights, Comfort Access, heated seats for driver and front passenger, a heated steering wheel and Driving Assistant Plus.
The BMW Live Cockpit Professional with Head-up Display and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound System are also available with the standard model.
Customers choosing the BMW iX M70 xDrive receive additional standard features, including Integral Active Steering, Adaptive two-axle Air Suspension, BMW Iconic Glow kidney grille, the M Sport Pro package and sun-protection glass.
Optional extras include the Technology Pack (including Driving Assistant Professional and Parking Assistant Professional), the Panoramic Glass Roof Sky Lounge, Clear & Bold interior components (made from polished crystal glass/plastic in glass styling), four-zone climate control (standard for BMW iX M70 xDrive) and an automatic soft-close function for the doors.
The Comfort Pack (including Active seat ventilation for the front seats, rear seat heating and heated armrests/door panels) and the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System are also available optionally. In addition, customers can specify an electrically extendable and retractable tow bar.
