London will close more than 150 roads this weekend to make way for the 39,000 runners participating in this year’s London marathon.
With 138 road closures expected on Sunday alone, TfL and crowd sourced sat nav app Waze have partnered to help drivers avoid delays which start from 6am Saturday morning.
Full details of the closures can be viewed here, or via the Waze app.
The free app can notify and direct drivers and spectators around road closures likely to affect them this weekend by providing alternative routes. Waze works with TfL to collect the most accurate data for all three of the event days, which is a result of the Connected Citizens Initiative launched in 2016.
Finlay Clark, head of Waze UK, said:“ We’re constantly receiving live updates from over half a million London app users and this will allow us to help drivers avoid the worst of this weekend’s traffic.
