Grosvenor Group has experienced an increase in daily rental volumes since it signed up to use Epyx’s 1link Hire Network platform in 2014.
The company has taken on two new major customers and a new supplier without the need for additional resources after adopting the platform.
James Parnell, head of purchasing and maintenance at Grosvenor, said: “For us, adopting 1link Hire Network has been all about creating capacity by reducing administration and putting in place seamless links with our five major daily rental suppliers.
“Previously, our bookings required up to 35 different processes to complete but the use of 1link Hire Network has created a single web-based interface for all transactions.
“This means that we are much more flexible in terms of upscaling our service provision.
"If we take on a new customer, they can be easily integrated without the need for further resources.”
Parnell added that, later this year, Grosvenor planned to extend its use of 1link Hire Network by adopting direct hire sites that will allow customers to make bookings straight on to the system.
“This will effectively provide customers with the ability to ‘self serve’ for rental bookings, again making our processes even more efficient and effective,” he said.
Launched in 2005, 1link Hire Network has become among the most widely used rental platforms in the fleet sector, adopted by more than 40 short term hire companies supplying a wide variety of major fleet operators.
