Morley Accident Repair has been appointed as Fix Auto Derby.

The business is owned and managed by Richard Morley - who took over the business started by his father Deryck in 1951 – and he is supported by his wife, Heather, and 21-year-old son, Thomas.  The couple’s 18-year-old daughter, Helen, is also poised to join the business.

The 7,000 sq ft Kitemark-accredited bodyshop currently repairs approximately 100 vehicles each month. A team of seven workshop staff are supported by three customer service personnel, with further appointments in the disciplines of paint and panel work expected imminently.

The appointment of Fix Auto Derby takes the total number of Fix Auto bodyshops in the East Midlands region to ten, with the bodyshop joining existing franchisees Nottingham, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Coalville, Loughborough, Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering, Spalding and Skegness on the network.

Morley said: “I want to future proof my business and being part of a national network is the future of our industry.  I have known Andy Higgs, our Fix Auto Regional Operations Manager, for some time and I have been excited by what he has had to say about the network.”

He added: “Moreover, I have had previous dealings with Ian Pugh who heads up Fix Auto and I hold him in the highest regard.  I look forward to what the future holds now I’m part of the Fix Auto UK family.”

Fix Auto UK’s Ian Pugh said: “I’ve known Richard for a very long time. His family business is a perfect fit for Fix Auto UK.  He shares our core values of integrity, honesty and sheer hard work. Personally, I’m delighted he’s joining Fix Auto as I know they’ll be a great asset to the network as we continue our growth.”
