The Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) has announced its first webinar, which will examine the impact of coronavirus on fleet operations.
Taking place from 9.30-11.00am on July 15, speakers include deputy chair Stewart Lightbody, providing an analysis of how the virus has affected the sector, alongside a corresponding fleet manager view from Paul Brown of Stericycle.
The event will be hosted by Julie Summerell of TR Fleet, while Paul Hollick, AFP co-chair, will also be explaining the AFP’s new committee structure and the operation of its training academy.
Hollick said: “This is the first major event we have organised since the formation of the AFP earlier this year and we will be using it to examine the ways in which Covid-19 has affected almost every aspect of fleet management as well as how it is likely to play out in the future.
“We will also be detailing the work that has been completed over the last few months to build the infrastructure of the AFP, looking at the committees we are in the process of creating and how our training operations are now working.
“We’re really looking forward to engaging with as many fleet professionals as possible, discussing some of the most urgent fleet issues of the moment and swapping best practice ideas on how we are all approaching them.”
The webinar, being held using Zoom, is open to all and delegates can register by contacting the AFP Admin Centre on administration@theafp.co.uk.
The AFP was formed in March from the merging of the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO) and the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM).
