EO names David Felton as new MD

David Felton has been appointed managing director at EO Charging.

With a background in electrical engineering, Felton has held senior roles across a variety of sectors, including positions at Scottish Power, United Utilities, Alstom, Balfour Beatty, Wood, Freedom, Signalling Solutions, and Chubb. 

He said: “Coming from a transmission and distribution background, I see parallels with the rapid transition needed in the EV sector to meet net zero targets. EO is well-positioned to lead the way. 

“EO has created a fantastic base not just to electrify fleets and buses but also to optimise our customers’ operations through smart infrastructure.” 

In his new role, he will focus on building a “best-in-class team” capable of engineering, procuring, and constructing the infrastructure customers need to electrify their fleets quickly and efficiently.

Whistl appoints Ian Keilty as new CEO

Whistl has appointed Ian Keilty as its new chief executive officer, effective from July 1.

He joins the company from Wincanton where he was managing director of its retail and consumer division before becoming chief operating officer in 2020.

He will report into Nick Wells, executive chairman, and will lead the day-to-day running and growth strategy of the Whistl Group, whose business areas include Mail, Parcels, Fulfilment and Doordrop Media. 

Prior to joining Wincanton, Keilty built up experience in supply chain as an executive for Brakes Group, Booker Group, Iceland Stores and Mars. 

He holds an MBA from London Business School and a degree in engineering from the University of Durham.

He said: “I’m pleased to be joining a brilliant business with great people, leadership, brand and customers, and excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Wells added: “I am delighted that Ian is joining Whistl bringing his broad experience within the logistics sector and the energy and leadership skills to work with the team to accelerate our growth in the coming years.”  

New business development manager for UK automotive at Assurant

Sam Michel has been appointed to the role of business development manager at the UK automotive division of Assurant.

He will be responsible for identifying and creating sustainable and successful commercial partnerships within the UK’s leading automotive retailers across both franchise dealers and car supermarkets.

He has spent more than 12 years working in the automotive industry including being regional manager with employee car ownerships scheme specialist, Car Benefit Solutions and national account manager at industry data provider Glass’s.

He said: “This is an exciting moment to be joining Assurant. Due to their continued investment in innovation, the company has a product range and digital offering that I believe to be market-leading, creating huge potential for growth among the UK’s leading franchise dealers and car supermarkets.”

National Windscreens appointments boost fleet and operations expertise 

National Windscreens has appointed Andy Hodge and Phil Homer, bringing 86 years of combined industry knowledge into the business. 

The pair have joined following the acquisition of Autoglazing, the windscreen repair and replacement specialists in Cambridge. 

Hodge was managing director of Autoglazing. In his new role as fleet director, he will work closely with the team to explore areas for growth, with particular focus on developing National Windscreens already substantial share of the fleet sector.

He said: “The professionalism and service delivery being offered by National Windscreens to the UK fleet market is outstanding.

“I can understand why so many fleet and leasing customers, where ‘time to serve’ and vehicle uptime are so critical, are choosing National Windscreens as their preferred supplier.”

Homer worked as operations director at Autoglazing until 2024. He said: “Joining National Windscreens alongside Andy is fantastic. We have worked together for many years, winning contracts and delivering results.

“I have worked in the industry all of my adult life, and this is a brilliant opportunity to further utilise my operational knowledge.”

Applied Driving makes partnership appointment to build on fleet success

Applied Driving has expanded its partnerships team to take advantage of channel opportunities within the fleet marketplace. 

Jacob Lewis-Leeson has joined the company as partnerships executive to support new and existing partners, which form an important part of its growth strategy moving forward.

“Our channel network has delivered significant growth in the past few years – especially within the vehicle leasing and telematics sectors – and now represents a significant portion of our annual turnover,” said Nigel Lawrence, strategic partnerships director at Applied Driving. 

“This has created the need for greater internal resource, so we are delighted that Jacob has joined us. He will be a fantastic addition to the team, and we look forward to him making a strong contribution to our channel partner ambitions.”

In his new position, Lewis-Leeson will be tasked with supporting and managing partner relationships, providing useful guidance across Applied Driving’s comprehensive range of risk, safety and compliance services, and helping to maximise end-user performance. 

He will also work closely with the operations, IT and business development teams to help better understand partner requirements, as well as generate new sales opportunities.

Lewis-Leeson brings more than seven years of support and customer service experience to the role, which has enabled him to develop his relationship management, client care and technical services skills. 

Most recently, he was digital operations and customer success coordinator at Sotheby's, where he was part of the company’s global digital team and worked cross-functionally to support client needs.
