Northgate Vehicle Hire in Ireland is relocating its Irish head office to new premises at the Northwest Business Park in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

The 32,000 sq ft site is located on the edge of the city in close proximity to the N3 national primary road, with the aim of giving the company, and its customers, greater ease of accessibility. 

The new site has capacity for over 400 vehicles, and is expected to create 10 new jobs in the Dublin office during the next year.

The relocation is part of Northgate’s strategic growth plans in Ireland and follows the relocation of the Limerick and Cork branches and the launch of the company’s second Dublin outlet in Sandyford since 2013.

Northgate Vehicle Hire’s managing director in Ireland Peter Millen said: “This relocation is a reflection of the success of Northgate in the Dublin area. 

“We have enjoyed 15 very successful years in Ireland, having grown by 50 per cent year on year for the past few years. 

“The move to new premises enables us to provide our customers with even better service from a greater choice of vehicles for hire, to a more comfortable waiting area. 

“We expect to see further growth in the future, which is reflective of the strength of our product in current market conditions.

“As a real alternative to purchasing or contract hire, we are growing in popularity with businesses across a range of sectors where commercial vehicles are a central requirement to their operations.

“In order to meet customer demand, we also expect to recruit more staff in the next year.”

The increased vehicle capacity means that Northgate can offer a greater range of vehicles, allowing the company to meet the needs of more customers than ever.

The larger workshop means that Northgate can achieve a quicker turnaround on vehicle services, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

Northgate currently employs 75 people in Ireland, including 62 people at its Dublin branch and operates 3,500 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland, with a further 1,000 in Northern Ireland. 

Northgate Vehicle Hire has sites across 76 locations in the UK and Ireland, with its head office in Darlington.
