Following the announcement of Axis Fleet Management’s new mobile maintenance division, the company has implemented Assetminder to manage maintenance and repair.
Assetminder is a cloud-based fleet maintenance and workshop management system, designed to reduce downtime and increase efficiencies, whilst driving down costs.
Each of Axis’s mobile engineers will be equipped with a tablet PC, on which they will be able to create and complete job-cards and safety inspections using the Assetminder app.
Axis Fleet Management’s director of service points Martyn Allen said: “The fact that Assetminder is very intuitive in design and layout meant that it was easy to learn how to use the different elements, particularly the mobile inspection and job-card apps.
"This latter part was key in ensuring the ready adoption by our mobile engineers”
Axis customers receive inspection sheets within minutes via email or they can log on to the Assetminder customer portal to view the work carried out.
The completed job-cards and inspections automatically update the vehicle history file on the central system in the office, and financial data is auto-uploaded to their Sage 50 accounts.
