Axis Fleet Management has announced the launch of a new division, Axis Reassurance, which will bring its end of contract assets to market.
Based in Norwich, Axis Reassurance will supply tractors, rigids and trailers, all under five years old, which were previously leased and maintained by its fleet management business. Customers will have the option of purchasing or financing an asset with a three-month mechanical warranty along with a current MOT.
The vehicles will all be professionally valeted and prepared so they are ready to drive away. Many will be equipped with Axis telematics.
The new division is being spearheaded by Neville Loome who has been newly recruited to the business. Loome has spent his career working with trucks, bringing the first Volvo F86 to East Anglia in 1969. With extensive experience in retail, trade and export sales, he spent the past 17 years in the used vehicle division at MAN.
He will be supported by Steve Finn, Axis business development manager for East Anglia. Finn has worked in commercial vehicle sales for 25 years with MAN, Mercedes Benz and Iveco.
Axis managing director Leigh Goodland (pictured) said: “The launch of Axis Reassurance enables us to fully manage the life cycle of our assets and provide a quality offering to the UK used vehicles market.
“Through the high standards of maintenance and care we provide through our fleet management operations, we can deliver quality used trucks and trailers with highest levels of safety, compliance and driver wellbeing for Axis Reassurance customers.
“We are pleased to welcome Neville Loome to the Axis team to head up Axis Reassurance with support from another highly regarded colleague, Steve Finn. Our customers will further benefit from their experience and knowledge of the used trucks and trailer market.”
Founded by its executive chairman, Robert Montague, Axis Fleet Management specialises in long-term contract hire and fleet management services, operating more than 3,000 assets including trucks, trailers, and rigids.
