Europcar partners with Geotab and SureCam
Europcar Van and Truck has announced a new UK partnership with Geotab and SureCam to deliver telematics and video technology for the van and truck market.
The new partnership enables Europcar’s long-term van and truck rental customers to access insights to help improve driving behaviour and optimise their fleet utilisation.
Europcar says the in-vehicle technology offers fleet managers information via a personalised dashboard to enable them to understand driving habits and reward safe driving behaviours.
The SureCam forward-facing camera gives fleet managers to a street-level view and instant video footage of road accidents.
With data processed by Geotab, fleet utilisation can be optimised, and downtime can be minimised through forward planning maintenance, says Europcar.

Fleetio launches Equipment Management to centralise fleet assets
Fleetio has launched Equipment Management, a new add-on that helps users centralise their small equipment and tools alongside their vehicles and improve accountability.
The new add-on offers a centralised software for all fleet assets, where data such as equipment purchase information, location, assignment and status can be accessed to help give users a holistic view of their assets.
Equipment Management enables users to visualize an audit trail of responsibility and link equipment to the vehicles they travel in each day.
Equipment can be checked in and out so others can see availability, understand when equipment is due back and see who is responsible in case an item is broken or cannot be located.
The new solution is purpose-built for all types of job-critical small equipment and tools.
