Isuzu has unveiled a new tipper conversion for the D-Max pick-up, built in collaboration with TGS.
The concept vehicle was showcased at the 2021 Commercial Vehicle Show, at the NEC in Birmingham.
The D-Max Tipper Conversion utilises a rugged yet lightweight aluminium tipper body, which has been designed specifically for the vehicle. The double-action scissor lifting mechanism allows for improved stability and strength during operation and is controlled by an electro-hydraulic power pack with a wander lead, meaning users don’t have to be stood right next to the truck when operating it.
An upgraded VB Tech air suspension system is also fitted, which enhances both comfort and safety.
Alan Able, head of sales at Isuzu UK, said: “This tipper concept vehicle is the natural progression of our partnership with TGS, following the Tipper product which was developed on the previous model Isuzu D-Max Extended Cab and which proved to be a real hit with our dealer network and customers so it makes sense to get to work on delivering a new and improved product to match the specifications of the new D-Max.
“We are always looking at how we can diversify and expand our product portfolio and yet again, the D-Max has more than demonstrated its working credentials and versatility in meeting the potential needs of our broad customer base.”
