Liverpool Victoria (LV) has launched a one-stop shop leasing platform for electric vehicles (EVs).
Electrix aims to make the move to an electric vehicle as simple as possible, by offering customers the ability to lease, charge and insure a vehicle in one place.
Staffordshire-based fleet management company, CBVC Vehicle Management, is providing the leasing know-how and online platform for Electrix. This includes the provision of a co-branded website to help drivers find the right car based on their specific requirements and budget.
Mike Manners, managing director of CBVC Vehicle Management, said: “We’re very proud to be partnering with LV General Insurance to provide the leasing platform and full in-life lease management for Electrix customers.
“Our ethos has always been to be at the forefront of the market and invest in the latest technology.
"The transition to electric vehicles is so critical and with our joint know-how we are thrilled that we can now offer consumers a really exciting and affordable pathway into electric cars.
"ElectriX not only makes things very easy for the customer but also provides access to a great range of new vehicles right now.”
The interactive site is designed to support customers in the transition to electric and includes information and guides on areas such as ownership, running costs and charging.
CBVC Vehicle Management said it will be serving the consumer and business markets with both Business and Personal Contract Hire.
Despite the industry-wide supply issues affecting new car sales, the business has managed to procure 600 cars specifically for Electrix, with 400 available pre-Christmas (subject to build). Cars available include the BMW iX, Mercedes-Benz EQA, MG ZS, Hyundai Kona and Nissan Leaf.
Gill Nowell, head of EV communications at Electrix, added: "Electric cars are our future and are rapidly gaining in popularity as being great cars to own and drive. The tide is turning in favour of zero tailpipe emission vehicles, with battery electric cars making up over 14% of car sales during the first half of 2022, but we still have a long way to go. This is where Electrix comes in.
“We want to take the hassle out of electric car ownership which is why we’re giving drivers who are thinking about making the switch access to useful information, products and services, demystifying some of the common jargon used and to be a source of truth when it comes to zero tailpipe emission driving.”
