Volkswagen has expanded the T-Roc range with a more frugal diesel engine.
The new 1.6-litre powertrain offers CO2 emissions of 115g/km and combined fuel consumption of 64.2 under WLTP (NEDC Correlated).
Prices start at £21,290 for the T-Roc S 1.6 TDI.
It is available with a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel-drive.
Emissions data for the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine has also been updated due to WLTP, it now emits 119g/km – rising from 117g/km.
The petrol T-Roc is still the cheapest for a company car driver, costing £979 per year in Benefit-in-kind tax (1.0TSI SE). The equivalent diesel will cost the driver £280 more.
Data for the rest of the line-up is yet to be released, but both the 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TDI will remain available.
Every T-Roc is equipped with, as a minimum, an eight-inch colour touchscreen and Volkswagen’s Composition Media infotainment system. This allows simultaneous pairing of two compatible mobile devices and includes a CD player and DAB radio.
Also standard on all T-Rocs is Front Assist, which uses radar to scan the area in front of the car and will automatically apply the brakes in an emergency situation.
T-Roc SE adds Adaptive Cruise Control, among a variety of other features.
Focusing on personalisation, T-Roc Design has contrasting roof colour options, plus coloured dashpads and interior door panels.
T-Roc SEL adds satellite navigation and Car-Net ‘Guide and Inform’, which gives online access to a range of useful features such as car parking availability and fuel prices.
T-Roc R-Line models include 19-inch alloy wheels and sporty styling additions.
