Jaguar’s revised XF range offers lower CO2 and will not be subject to the 4% benefit-in-kind tax diesel surcharge following engine improvements.

All 20MY XF 2.0d 163PS and 180PS rear-wheel drive variants have been optimised for certification as RDE2-compliant, meaning they are exempt from the surcharge.

Jaguar Land Rover says this could save 40% taxpayers up to £2,304 in company car tax over three years of ownership compared to models which are subject to the surcharge.

As a result of other measures, including fitment of ultra-low rolling resistance tyres, CO2 emissions have been cut by up to 8g/km: for example the XF saloon 180PS RWD Portfolio manual now has CO2 of 124g/km – 8g/km lower than the model it replaces.

“These new diesel engines meet the demanding target, set by the latest European standards, well ahead of schedule.

“The test results reflect their performance in real-world driving conditions – and Jaguar's commitment to offering customers outstanding driving dynamics with the lowest cost and impact on the environment.”  

The latest model year update also includes a new smartphone pack which means Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on all models.

Prices for the XF range start from £34,950 OTR for the Saloon and £37,390 OTR for the Sportbrake.

The 20MY revisions also sees the introduction of the Chequered Flag special edition, which features a number of enhancements and a choice of diesel and petrol engines.

Exterior enhancements include new 18-inch alloy wheels, sport front bumper, body-coloured side sills and boot spoiler.

Interior changes include aluminium instrument panel finisher, R-Sport full leather interior and a choice of ebony or ebony/pimento colour combinations with contrast stitching.

Standard features include Navigation Pro with InControl Connect Pro. The system includes 36-month data SIM plan to provide a live traffic function which helps drivers avoid traffic jams, while also allowing users to share routes from a computer or mobile app.

Further features include a 12.3-inch touchscreen and keyless entry.
