Vehicle remarketing and fleet support specialists CD Fleet Services is expanding its operations due to increased demand for its services in the first half of the year.
Andy Brown, managing director of CD Fleet Services, said: “We have seen a significant increase in demand for our support services since the start of the year, both in pool fleet management and our digital vehicle remarketing.
“Vehicle sales volumes in the first quarter were up by around 50% over the same period last year and around a quarter of our sold cars went to new trade buyers, with the extra competition for bids adding value for our fleet and leasing customers.
“We were reaching close to capacity and it’s great to be able to expand and invest in our future.”
As a result, the Corby-based company has appointed a new business development coordinator to ensure fleet operators and leasing companies continue to get high levels of personal service when working with CD Fleet Services.
Ed Roots, a 25-year old graduate in business enterprise, joined the company early this year to liaise with both vendor and buyer customers.
Apart from his business degree, Roots has a background in the automotive retail industry, having worked both as a technician and a sales executive in franchised new car dealerships.
CD Fleet Services has also completed negotiations with local land owners to increase its secure storage capacity to cope with the increased number of vehicles being handled.
The extra land will add space for around 20% more vehicles to be stored and prepared, either for pool fleet management or while waiting for online auction.
“There is still demand for good quality cars and light commercial vehicles from both franchised and independent retailers,” concluded Brown.
