Auto Windscreens has announced plans to grow its apprenticeship scheme, ALEX (Apprenticeship Learning Experience), by welcoming 40 new starters before the end of 2017.
The ALEX programme, an apprenticeship initiative run by parent company Markerstudy Group of Companies, was introduced last year by Auto Windscreens and is tailored for young people who are keen to embark on a career in vehicle glass repair.
The windscreen repair and replacement provider is also delighted to have been shortlisted in the North Midlands & South Yorkshire Apprentices awards, further cementing its dedication to the scheme. The awards which will be announced on Tuesday May 16, celebrate and recognise the hardworking individuals and organisations involved in apprenticeships and how they shape our future.
Rupert Armitage, Auto Windscreens’ managing director, said: “Our apprentices are proving invaluable to the business and we’re delighted for our scheme to have been recognised in these awards.
“We plan to continue the growth of our ALEX programme, supporting more young people with the transition from education into the workplace and ensuring the next generation of glass repair technicians are trained to our excellent standards.”
