Mercedes Benz Vans has entered into a bespoke service contract with the DPD Group.
The service contract is a tailored offering with significant focus on vehicle uptime. This marks Phase One of the bespoke Complete Care service contract across DPD’s ‘Region 6’, which covers Carlisle, Aberdeen, two sites in Glasgow, one in Dundee, and a Super Hub in Edinburgh.
The Complete Care solution developed for DPD covers an extensive list of vehicle items, including: routine service costs with all parts and labour, lubricants, all friction materials and all clutch friction materials; MOT test fees; and repair or replacement of engine, gearbox, rear axle, all other mechanical components, all computing management systems and all other electrical components.
Mercedes-Benz Vans and DPD are celebrating a 26-year collaborative partnership in 2015, further cemented by the rollout of the Complete Care plan.
Strategically, the DPD Group envisages all of their fleet of Mercedes-Benz vans will move onto the Complete Care Service Contract over the next two years.
Charlie Shiels, executive director of central operations at the DPD Group, said: “This decision takes our relationship with Mercedes-Benz to a new strategic level.
“We would not have made this decision if we were not 100% comfortable and confident with the Network’s ability to deliver an amazing service for us.
“Mercedes Benz is a vital part in helping us deliver our customer promise.”
Steve Bridge, managing director of Mercedes-Benz Vans, said: “We have worked in partnership with DPD for more than a quarter of a century – and that speaks volumes.
“The biggest ‘thank you’ we can now give back to DPD is to ensure the highest levels of uptime are achieved as a result of the full Complete Care package put in place.”

Good Day We have a customer with a 2012 Mercedes Twin Sleeper cab 18t GVW Rigid. We would like to replace or convert the bottom bunk with a bench seat (with seat belts) to take crew in the rear of the sleeper unit. I'm not sure if this conversion would be a 'Notifiable Alteration' in any event the conversion will have to pass muster with the Ministry. This is an urgent enquiry. If your company can't help we would be most grateful if you would recommend a someone? Check us out on www.hunttrucks.com Many Thanks Regards Don Bray Hunt Trucks Ltd 11-15A Lyon Road, Wimbledon London, SW19 2RL Tel: 020 8871 3021 Mob: 07957307483
