Hitachi Capital Commercial Vehicle Solutions has loaned Active Trowbridge a Ford Transit to support their summer community activity programme.
The LCV has been taken from current stock and liveried in Active Trowbridge stickers, to help promote awareness of the varying activities and youth services across Trowbridge and the surrounding areas, during the upcoming school holidays and beyond.
Hitachi Capital are also part-funding the hire of inflatable equipment, including assault courses, play-zones, bungee runs and football arenas.
Launched in 2008, Active Trowbridge employs 16 sports coaches, who help to deliver over 300 hours of sports coaching every week. Their annual Community Sports Roadshows – funded by Trowbridge Town Council – offer toddlers and children between five and 12-years-old free access to sporting and active events on weekdays throughout the school holidays.
Jon Lawes, managing director of Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, said: “Active Trowbridge is an important initiative which brings communities together and promotes exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Assisting Active Trowbridge with funding is only one way of helping out; supplying them with a vehicle, free of charge, is an equally viable method of support, which enables local children to enjoy an active summer.”
