Updated Renault Kangoo is cheaper than before: prices and specs

Renault has updated the Kangoo van and improved its specification, while cutting prices.

The Kangoo is now available for £20,250 (ex VAT) and the E-Tech electric version costs from £29,850 (ex VAT).

As before, the van can be specified in one of two lengths, while specification is spread across two trim levels. A Crew Van is also offered.

Changes for 2024 include the fitment of a new grille with the latest Renault badge.

The Kangoo is available with three front seats, with a central folding backrest that turns into a work surface, plus almost 60 litres of storage in the cab.

The medium-length (ML19) variant has a load volume of 3.3 cubic metres and a payload of 796-836Kg. The longer model (LL21) offers  load volume of up to 4.2 cubic metres and has a payload of 894-975Kg. LL21 models can be configured as a crew van.

The engine line-up for the Kangoo van consists of a 100PS petrol unit and a diesel with either 95 or 115PS.

The Kangoo E-Tech is equipped with a 45kWh battery and has a WLTP range of up to 186 miles. It offers a lower payload of 608Kg (ML19) or 724Kg (LL21).

It can be recharged by a 7.4 kW Wallbox in under seven hours, while rapid DC charging at up to 75kW can deliver an 80% charge in around 43 minutes. Recharging at a 22kW public charger from 15% to 80% takes 1.5 hours.

Every Kangoo van comes equipped with automatic headlights and wipers, a 4.2-inch TFT driver information display, 8.0-inch touchscreen with DAB radio, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, rear-view camera, rear parking sensors, electric parking brake, air conditioning, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.

Extra models include LED headlights, keyless entry, sat-nav, front, rear and side parking sensors, blind-spot monitor, and body coloured exterior trim.
