Jaguar is planning to stop the sale of new cars in the UK early next year, ahead of its re-launch as an all-electric brand.

In July, the car maker confirmed that five models, including the electric I-Pace, will be axed by the end of the year

Only the F-Pace SUV will remain in production during 2025.

JLR's UK managing director Rawdon Glover has since told Autocar that UK sales of the F-Pace will stop in early 2025.

Speaking to the magazine, he confirmed "there will be a period where you will not be able to buy a Jaguar”.

Jaguar sales in certain European markets are due pause at the end of this year, with the UK set to follow in "the early part of next year".

Retailers will focus on used car sales and aftersales, in the interim.

The brand's first all-new car is expected to hit the road in 2026, following its debut next year. The new model - a four-door GT - is expected to have a price tag of at least £100,000.

By 2028, three electric Jaguar models are expected to be on sale, including a luxury saloon and a large SUV.
