Jaguar has ended retail sales of new cars in the UK, ahead of its re-launch as an all-electric brand.
A limited number of I-Pace models will continue to be available for corporate clients via the brand's Corporate Direct channel until early 2025.
The F-Pace SUV was the only model that remained in production. All existing stocks will be sold as 'used' cars through the brand's dealer network.
Patrick McGillycuddy, managing director of JLR UK, told BBC News: "This is very much part of our deliberate plan announced back in 2021 as part of our Re-Imagine strategy that sees us radically re-imagine Jaguar as an exuberant, compelling and disruptive luxury brand but with electric propulsion at its heart."
A spokeperson for the brand told Fleet News: “Whilst retail sales of current generation of Jaguar vehicles has come to a close, we are still able to provide direct sales customers - including leasing partners and fleet and business clients - opportunity to own Jaguar I-Pace until mid-2025 through our direct sales channels.”
The brand's first all-new car is expected to hit the road in 2026. The new model - a four-door GT - is expected to have a price tag of at least £100,000. Prototype examples have already started on-road testing.
By 2028, three electric Jaguar models are expected to be on sale, including a luxury saloon and a large SUV.
