Lexus is taking orders for its new luxury people carrier, which is priced from £89,995.
The LM is available with four or seven seats and is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine with 250PS.
It's based on the same platform as the Toyota Rav 4 and Lexus RX SUVs, with its powertrain - designated LM350h - derived from the brand's NX and RX models. All-wheel-drive is available as an option.
The LM measures 5.13 metres in length, with a width and height of 1.9m. The 3.0m wheelbase is said to maximise space for rear passengers.
Lexus says it conducted research with private jet manufacturers and hyper-affluent consumers during the LM's development to ensure it delivers the highest level of luxury and refinement.
The standard version comes with seven seats and 19-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable front and middle row seats with part-leather upholstery, twin fixed sunroofs, dual-zone climate control and power sunshades. The infotainment package includes the Lexus Link Pro multimedia system, 21-speaker Mark Levinson 3D Surround Sound audio and a 14-inch monitor for the rear passengers that deploys from the ceiling. For the driver there is a heated, power-adjustable steering wheel with wood inserts Panoramic View Monitor, Intelligent Park Assist with remote parking function via the Lexus Link app and head-up display.
The Takumi version of the LM (from £112,995) is configured with just two multi-function rear seats. The power-adjustable seats can be fully reclined to horizontal and offer seven different massage programmes. Individual folding tables are housed in the outer arm rests and charging stations with USB ports and wireless charging tray are discreetly housed in cabin’s side panels.
A partition between the front and rear cabin houses a 48-inch widescreen monitor and a glass panel that can be dimmed for privacy. The monitor has three viewing modes: full screen, cinema and separate left and right screens showing independent content (with individual left/right headsets). Users can project content directly from their smartphone or tablet, or connect to the screen via two HDMI ports. Beneath the monitor there are individual left and right side glove boxes and a refrigerator box.
The Mark Levinson 3D Surround Sound audio system has 23-speakers, while the Lexus Climate Concierge uses thermal sensors to precisely control and direct heating and ventilation.
Cabin features, such as the audio system, climate control, seat functions, interior lighting and the window blinds, can be controlled by a touchscreen panel or by voice commands.
