Citroen has improved the range and performance of its e-C4 and e-C4 X models through the fitment of a new battery and motor.
The revised powertrain will be offered alongside the existing one and uses a 54kWh battery, giving a range of up to 260 miles (WLTP).
The new motor deliver 156PS and 260Nm, helping to improve acceleration.
It's the same powertrain that was introduced for the Peugeot e-208, last year.
The current e-C4 and e-C4 X use a 50kWh battery and 136PS motor, giving a range of 219 miles.
Alongside the new electric models, Citroen UK has confirmed that it will introduce petrol and diesel versions of the C4 X in order to meet demand from fleet operators and to facilitate access to mobility for more private customers. The model was previously only available as an electric car. The new powertrains offered on C4 X will be: PureTech 100 six-speed manual, PureTech 130 EAT8 and BlueHDI 130 EAT8.
Pricing and specification will be released shortly and UK production will begin in July 2023.
Citroen will demonstrate its line-up at this year's Company Car In Action event. The fleet test driving event, which takes place at Millbrook Proving Ground on June 14-15, will enables fleet decision-makers and leasing company stakeholders to put around 200 of the latest cars and vans through their paces on four unique circuits: the hill route, high speed bowl, off-road course and city course.
